Christmas Memories

Celebrating Grandson

Each year I get an ornament for my grandson for Christmas.
Since I only have one grandchild, I have been nostalgic this year as I've decorated the Christmas tree.   It is amazing how quickly he is growing up.  I love sitting and looking at my tree and reminiscing as I look at each year's ornament.  Hope you enjoy seeing how he's changed!

My son made this ornament in schoolwhen he was a little boy.  Isn't it amazing how much grandson favors his daddy?
His daddy, my #1 and only son, made this reindeer when he was in Kindergarten, and it proudly hangs on my tree every year!

Handmade Ornaments

Christmas Ornaments as Art

Last year my sweet and talented daughter-in-law painted these darling little canvas ornaments for me.
They were the perfect addition to my tree!

I especially like this cute Santa.

Because we are a family of artists, I have a few little art ornaments.

Another year daughter-in-law made these festive pottery ornaments!

They are so unique and creative!

My grandson made this lovely mosaic Christmas tree ornament.

The Real Meaning of Christmas

Jesus is the Gift

As I have been recuperating from my surgery, I have also been decorating my Christmas tree.  There are so many precious ornaments, so I've decided to blog about them!   I would be remiss not to begin with the reason we have Christmas in the first place, so I'll begin with my nativity ornaments, which are some of my favorites.
