We just returned from a few days at the beach, and we visited a favorite place to get fresh seafood.

Billy's is a bit out of the way, but it's well worth the drive down Hwy. 10 to get there! Because, yes, it is literally right on the water.

Every kind of shrimp you can imagine, including XXL Jumbo as big as my hand.  Service is always friendly and the staff is  knowledgeable.

The shrimp is sweeter when it's fresh and Billy's has the fresh seafood.  They have a good selection of shrimp and a fair selection of fresh fish and oysters, too. The prices are reasonable and the folks at the counter friendly.  It is probably some of the best shrimp we've ever had.

They'll give you tips for preparation if you need any -- and you won't be disappointed with the end result!!  Fresh shrimp and gulf seafood directly off the boat and thrown on ice.  Literally.  Or they'll even steam it for you.

They'll also pack it up for you and ship it on dry ice for a not-so-small fee.

The seafood is immaculate, the essence of the local gulf bounty.

Billy's is right at the boat dock.  The drive and parking lot are even covered with crushed oyster shells instead of rock or sand.

Doesn't get much fresher than from the boat directly into Billy's place.

Billy's is a bit off the beaten trail, about 15 minutes in traffic from 182 and 59, but oh, so worth the scenic drive!
